The economy and politics

It is good politics that makes for good economics. Political scientists, sociologists and economists ask what it takes to have an economy that is healthy, growing, competitive and able to ensure both opportunity and rights to all members of the community.
There is a general consensus about what to do in order to improve our society’s economic well-being while at the same time guaranteeing basic rights like freedom and fairness. But if this path is well-known, why aren’t we following it with more conviction?

During the Forum attention will be focused on the supranational dimensions of politics, which makes decisions about open trade in the world and international mobility of human resources, and which partially regulates the performance of economy and society. We will explore how this dimension establishes relationships with those responsabile for the creation of wealth and with corporations, and its role in preparing future leadership.
