Paolo Ferrero

Minister of social solidarity
Born in Pomaretto (Turin) on November 17th, 1960, Paolo Ferrero received his diploma from the technical-industrial Institute and has held various leadership roles in politics. He entered Parliament in the elections of 1996 as Deputy from the 2nd constituency (Piedmont 2) for the Rifondazione Comunista party. He is a member of the European Rifondazione Comunista-Sinistra parliamentary group. Since May 18th, 2006 he has been the Minister of social solidarity in the Prodi administration.
