Paolo Trivellato

Full professor in the faculty of sociology at the University of Milan-Bicocca
Bocconi graduate in economics, Paolo Trivellato specialized in sociology at the University of Edinburgh. He is a full professor at the University of Milan-Bicocca and has taught sociology of education at the University of Milan. He has undertaken research into school policy and educational welfare. His research focused on the teaching profession, the indicators for monitoring the school system, and the application of techniques for achieving quality in schools. He is currently working on the university choices of the generations of the twentieth century, an analysis of data from the Longitudinal Study of Italian Families. His recent publications include “Vocational education and training for temporary agency workers in Italy: skilling for employability or welfare policy?” in Culture, Context and Meaning: Vocational Education and Training in an Expanding Europe edited by P. Hodkinson e L. Unwin, Dordrecht: Springer, 2007.
