Paolo Martinello

Born in Milan in 1954, Paolo Martinello is a civil lawyer and an expert on consumer rights. He has been a member of the European Consumer Law Group (ECLG) in Brussels since 1981. From 1996 to 1998 he was the vice-president of the Bureau Européen des Unions de Consommateurs in Burssels and has been a member of the Executive Office since 2000. He has also been a member of the national council of consumers in the Department of Trade and Industry in Italy since 1998 and a board member of Euroconsumers, which brings together consumer associations in Italy (Altroconsumo), Belgium (Test-Achats), Spain (OCU) and Portugal (DECO-Pro-Teste).
