Maurizio Belpietro

Editor of Il Giornale
Born in 1958 in Castenedolo (BS), Maurizio Belpietro began his journalism career very young as a collaborator for Brescia Oggi, in 1975. When he was 32 he became editor-in-chief of the Europeo, and at 34 he was sub-editor of L’Indipendente. In 1995 he joined Il Giornale for the first time as co-editor. He was editor of Tempo in Rome, for one year.
In 1997, after a brief period as sub-editor of the Monti group ( Resto del Carlino, Nazione, Il Giorno) he was appointed operational manager of Il Giornale and in 2001 he became editor of the same newspaper. Since 2004 he has hosted the tv program L'Antipatico on Rete4.
