Gustavo Ghidini
Full Professor of industrial law at the LUISS University, and founder and senior partner of the Ghidini, Girino and associates studio
Born in Parma in 1951, Gustavo Ghidini received a degree in law from the University of Parma in 1963. He has been a lawyer of civil law since 1966 and a lawyer for the Court of Cassation since 1980. Gustavo Ghidini is the director of the Observatory on Industrial Property (LUISS), has been a founder and co-director since 1993 of the journal Concorrenza e Mercato Orientamenti dell'Autorità Garante and he’s the author and co-author of numerous monographs, law works, articles and essays. He has been a member of several ministerial commissions for the drawing up of regulatory texts regarding antitrust, manufacturer responsibility, vexatious clauses, comparative publicity, and biotechnology. From 1987 to 1997 he headed the Lombardy Region Finance bill (Finlombarda Spa) and, from 1993 to 1997, the Banca del Monte di Lombardia Foundation. He has dealt with bioethics, especially regarding legal problems tied to the experimentation of medicine and informed consent in chemical experimentation, as part of his participation with the Ethics Committee first for the National Institute of Tumors in Milan and then for the European Institute of Oncology.
