Guido Bortoni
Chief Director of market management for the Electricity and Gas Authority
A native of Pavese, born in 1960 and an engineer, Guido Bortoni has been working for the regulatory Authority since 1998, after ten years with the ENEL group and a period abroad with the Bonneville Power Administration of Portland, Oregon (USA) and with EDF. As the Chief Director of market management for the Electricity and Gas Authority, he governs the formulation of provisions and inquests in the electricity and gas sector regarding energy production from conventional and renewable sources, the energy markets, various deregulating activities and those which are still managed as monopolies, such as transmission/transporation, dispatching and the distribution and measurement of electricity.
