Business Historian, editorialist for La Stampa, he has been director of the Fiat historical archives.
Associate Professor of Contemporary History at Università Bocconi, Giuseppe Berta was one of the founders of ASSI, Associazione di Storia e Studi sull'Impresa, of which he was president from 2001 and 2003. Director of the Fiat historical archives from 1996 to 2002. Berta is a member of the steering committee for the Biographical Dictionary of Italian Entrepreneurs, edited by the Institute of the Italian Enciclopedia, and is an editorialist for La Stampa.
