Giovanni Perissinotto
Managing Director of Le Generali
Giovanni Perissinotto has been the managing director of the largest Italian insurance company in Italy, Le Generali, since 2001 and has conducted his entire managerial career in that group. Born in1953, married with three children, Perissinotto received a degree in Economics from the University of Trieste. In 1979 he received a scholarship to work in the company’s London finance office. After experiences abroad in the Brussels and New York headquarters, in 1988 he returned to Trieste where he was asked to guide the foreign investments department. Following that he headed the corporate finance department and in 1998 he was appointed as the group’s managing director. He has been a board member of BNL and of Intesa. Currently he is a member of the works council of Intesa Sanpaolo and represents Le Generali in Pirelli &C, Toro and Alleanza.
