Francesco Ripa Di Meana

With a degree in Medicine received from Università Cattolica in 1975, Francesco Ripa Di Meana is the Managing Director of the Health Authority of Piacenza. He received a specialization in medicine of labour and in statistics and health planning and continued his education in health management and organization at Università Bocconi. From 1986 to 1992 he worked as project manager of the Italian assistance to development in Brazil, where he coordinated local health assistance projects which included investments in high technology at the S. Raffaele Hospital in Salvador and projects to promote health in poor areas. He carried out the same role in Italy for the Ministry for the Civil Service. From 1997 to 2002 he was managing director of the Health Authority of Viterbo in Lazio.
