François Lévêque

Professor of Law and Economics at the Ecole des Mines in Paris. Consultant of the French government and for the OECD
Born in Paris on January 28th, 1957, François Lévêque received a PhD in Economics in 1982.
Between 1999 and 2002 he taught at the Università di Pavia and since 2002 he has been a professor of law of the European Community at the Boalt School of Law, University of California at
Berkeley. Environmental policy, antitrust, and intellectual property are his main areas of research. He was co-author of the first book of economic analysis of intellectual property (La Decouverte, Berkeley Electronic Press 2004) and is the founder of Microeconomix, a business in Paris which specializes in economic analyses of legal disputes. He has often been a consultant of the French government, the OECD and the European Commission.
