Federico Rampini
Editorial writer and correspondent for La Repubblica in China and author of the books "The Chinese Century", "The Empire of Chindia" e " Mao’s Shadow"
In addition to reporting news from and about the People’s Republic, Federico Rampini, correspondente for La Repubblica in China, is often sent to other areas of Asia such as India, Japan and Southeast Asia. From 2000 to 2004 he was editorial writer and reporter on the global economy in San Francisco. In Brussels from 1997 to 2000 he studied and commented on the evolution of the European Union and the birth of the single currency, while from1995 to 1997 he was chief editor of La Repubblica’s Milan office.
From 1986 to 1995 he worked for Il Sole 24 Ore, first as correspondent in Paris and then as Vice-director in Milan.
