Ashish Arora

Ashish Arora’s research focuses on technological changes and intellectual property. His book, Markets for Technology: Economics of Innovation and Corporate Strategy (2001, MIT Press) written with Alfonso Gambardella and Andrea Fosfuri, was the first to provide an explanation of how technological markets function. His recent studies regard the software industry in emerging countries like India, Israel and China, and he published From Underdogs to Tigers: the Rise of the Software Industry in Some Emerging Economies. He has collaborated with numerous university journals and academic commissions on the globalization of research and development materials, and intellectual property in inventions related to genomics and proteins.
