Alfonso Gambardella

Professor of Corporate Management at Università Bocconi, Alfonso Gambardella has taught in Italian and foreign universities and conducts research in the field of economics and corporate management with special reference to the impact of technological innovation on industrial structures and on corporate strategies and management. Co-ordinator of the PhD in Business Administration and Management at Bocconi, in 2003 and 2005 he was a visiting professor in the Department of Economics at Stanford University. He is a member of the European Academy of Management (EURAM), the U.S. Academy of Management and the European Group of Organizational Studies (EGOS). He is the founder of the EPIP Association (European Policy for Intellectual Property) and has participated in numerous national and international research projects, including EU projects and those of the Sloan Foundation, MIUR and CNR. He has participated as an expert on EU and MIUR commissions. He is associate editor of the journals Industrial and Corporate Change, Journal of Management and Governance, and Research Policy.
